About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) to join a global pioneer in conversational and voice AI technologies.
In this role, you will work on core speech technology platforms powering multilingual, real-world voice AI applications across automotive, customer engagement, and enterprise solutions. You will combine deep learning expertise with production-grade software engineering to train, tune, and deploy state-of-the-art ASR models serving millions of users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities

Train, tune, benchmark, and optimize state-of-the-art ASR models across multiple languages for enterprise-grade voice products.

Optimize ASR models for accuracy, latency, efficiency, and scalability across cloud and edge platforms.

Lead technical initiatives to design, build, and maintain internal tools and features enhancing core ASR capabilities.

Troubleshoot, triage, and solve complex, customer-specific ASR challenges and edge cases.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and research teams to ensure seamless integration of speech technologies into production environments.

Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and technical excellence within the team.
Requirements

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, or related field with 8+ years of full-time commercial experience OR Master’s degree with 6+ years.

ASR & ML Domain Expertise: Strong experience with Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Keyword Spotting, or Natural Language Understanding (NLU).

Deep Learning Fundamentals: Strong understanding of neural network architectures and proficiency with deep learning frameworks.

Production Code: Proficiency in writing production-ready, clean, and maintainable Python code.

Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployment in cloud environments.

Leadership: Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.
Nice to Have

Experience with Kaldi, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.

Knowledge of on-device model optimization (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, ONNX).

Proficiency in production-level C++ code.

Experience with end-to-end ASR pipelines, NLP techniques related to speech, and working directly on client-facing solutions.
